Australians don't like watching it. Well, that is well more than 99% of us cant be bothered with watching it. Even if its a big game. Unless its the world cup where people just want an excuse to have a beer and watch nations other than Australia, we just think its crud.

 because im right. :\: :compress: :\:
Actually all age groups football outstrips all other codes in participation rates, right from u6's to over 45's sorry your "safe sport" theory is wrong, again.

Ausralia love watching football, again as soon as you are challenge you restrict the definition, football is the biggest sport in the world and we watch it and play it all over the world.
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

we're the first generation of a-league fans. the next generation are the kids you see playing futsal and soccer on the weekends, instead of growing up with no proffessional league to look up to they now have the a-league

demographics attest to this
simple facts attest to this

soccer/football/sokkah, what ever you wanna call it, it's the fastest growing sport here bar none

not a dieing sport like RL with junior clubs collapsing left right and centre - the eastern suburbs has some ridiculous like less than 200 registered players....and the other areas are going the same way...that just says it all

So what's occurred in this country? We love and are very good at our sports. But in supposedly one of the biggest sports in the world we fail to achieve the objective, again and again and again and again.

We are notorious for playing an unsightly uncoordinated uncouth undeniably shithouse style of play. We are the hackers of the world and I wanna know... why?

that is because the rest of the world is not interested in most of the sports we play! both forms of rugby, hockey and cricket are about as competitive as my little brother's U10 league

show me an australian world champion in a team sport and i'll show you a sport with 10 or less competitive countries

our reputation as hackers is inherited from our anglo roots. the US, NZ and UK all come under this 1 banner! luckily the tides are changing and we have some incredibly technically gifted young'ns coming through that has already seen our style of play change over the last few years :D

60 in 5 regions?

try 200+ countries in 6 regions :afro:

15 world championships in netball, 10 won by australia, 4 by new zealand, 1 by trinidad and tobago.....never has australia or new zealand missed out on a final at the same time and never has either of them finished lower than 3rd......
every country gets flogged by aus and nz by cricket scores.... , almost as bad as international rugby league!

looks like yet again ive outclassed you from start to finish. intellectually i am just on a superior level :afro:

In AUST sokka has nowhere near the TV viewers of RL.
But then again telling a lie here or there is not foreign to you.

Just did a bit of research. The sooker who's have only scored three goals once in all their World Cup appearances.

They scored no goals in their first World Cup so one could think they've improved but with Tim Cahill leaving, a man who's scored pretty much the majority of the teams goals, it's looking like dark times ahead for aus sooker fans.

I'm right again.
