No RL game played in Canberra over the weekend, but I did see plenty of empty seats the other day when I flicked channels and seen the midgets playing in Canberra. Funny, people have a crack at the Brumbies and Raiders here with their average crowds yet the midgets play in a stadium that only has a capacity of about 2-3k above what these other two ACT teams are averaging and there were thousands of empty seats.

Meaning?

Think it was 10k which Is a good crowd, but take note that throughout the week they were handing out two for ones, so a true crowd could be around 8k

I'll have to say tho, I tip gws to best Melbourne to win this weekend. Why? Because Melbourne couldn't win the NEAFL and I haven't seen them in the finals since I've been following sport, anyone please tell me when they were last in the playoffs? You say raiders are shit, at least they made it to the semis in 2012:)

pullllease don't pull a dave by wearing earmuffs or slide your hands over your eyes

off the pitch :
your club has
-falling attendances
-no viewership
-unable to keep best players
-unable to attract star players
-state govt reneging on plans for new stadiums as they don't beleive they can rely on you to pay rent

oh no, it doesn't matter, the raiders are the richest club in the world and we are sitting on $72million cold hard cash baby! - raiderdave 2014

canberra would have to be the most undesirable place to live in, work for and play footy for...in the country. Virtually no drawing power whatsoever.

Some players just want money, unfoutruantly that's the case. But the raiders have money,
And have already signed 3 players for next year, one from Melbourne, one from st hellens and one from Wigan.

But the raiders and the nrl are minuscule compared to teams in the NBA, EPL etc. dave we might be the richest club in the nrl (maybe I don't know) but the richest club in the world is way off.
