I think the AFL should have persevered. Surely it could'nt of been any worse than the crap they dish out on a weekly basis.

What they dish out week in week out was preferred but the football community. Soo is a sideshow only. The fact that it is your sports pinnacle says everything

Spoken like a true insular southerner.
Just because our sport has many facets seems to be a sore point with you poor folk.
We have a domestic comp .
A rep comp.
AN international comp.
& it eats you mob up.

Our apparent Gimmick/sideshow is bigger than anything in Fumbleworld.


How does it feel that a "GIMMICK " beats your biggest game.?

I suppose it's like how the Swans are Sydney's biggest football club is your sore point that seems to eat away at all you NRL fans!!!

it seems like dribbledickdave has stopped attending raiders the games.

Coming from a guy who polluted almost every thread recently with "yip yip" or the likes

Fox payed the AFL $619.5m for 9 PTV matches or about $69m a match,
Fox payed the NRL $550m for 5 PTV matches or about $110m a match.

C7 payed the AFL $475m for 4 and a bit matches or under $118m a match,
C9 payed the NRL $475m for 3 matches or about $158m per match.

Quality is always better than quantity. But it's a real bugger when you've got both Matches that rate over 4m as well

the NRL only rated well because its the broncos vs the NSW side. the NRL Friday night special followed by the second NRL game. nothing to brag about.
