Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
Couple of things.
This is an unprecendented move, not the norm like in RL
The game is in thetime slot that has been the main reason for the drop in crowds - Sunday twighlight
The AFL are very much aware of the issues and will adress them for coming seasons which is a win
Such shit

Deflection 1. I created a topics on crowds, try to stay on topic. In response though that note, SA seems be handling it ok. Maybe they are now the AFL capital
Sucks to be you yep. Shit comp, crowds react and you try tell bs to try and deflect. I totally agree with you. Must suck to not be able to pull out the same old reaponses to everything because your comp is of a pathetic standard

Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
The very article you linked described the move as unprecedented. I have personally never seen a homeland AFL club have a "bring a friend for free" offer.Dogs wrote:Are you sure this is unprecedented. Answer carefully, let me give you a hint. You are wrongNlolRL wrote:Couple of things.

As for our comp, isn't that the one with crowds STILL over double the NRLs? I mean you've got the nerve to laugh at a Collingwood initiative to maximise crowds in what has ended up being a terrible scheduling decision. Yet Colingwood still average over 50k per game. Isnt that over 3 times the NRLs average?

Why are we forgetting the unprecedented bring a friend for free offer, which is what I was referring to? As for free tickets in AFL heartland, there are occasional promotional offers, which are designed to target certain groups, but nothing on the attempts made by RL to draw crowds.

Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
Are you referring to http://www.AFL.com.au/news/2014-07-15/p ... free-footy ?
Isnt that engaging a particular group? Again, not available to all fans, only a specific promotion targetting potential new fans
Is that it?

Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
Yes that's it.
& I posted how anyone could get tickets.
AFL fans were lining up as when you applied there was NO proof needed that you were NOT AUSTRALIAN.
Smoke & Mirrors once again & you dumb fucks fall for it.

Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
Who cares if you posted a way fans could take advantage of it. They promoted it for people from other nations, it was not a Free for all offer for all fans, merely a one off promotionAFLcrap1 wrote:Yes that's it.

Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
How dumb are you seriously..
They promoted free tickets & to cover the fact that they were available to anyone who wanted them ,they attach a label to the RD.
iTS ALL ABOUT THE IMAGE ,THE PERCEPTION ,that AFL don't give away tickets to anyone.
Yet that is exactly what they do..
Smoke & mirrors.
The AFL and Australia Post are offering people born overseas up to 4 tickets to experience an AFL match during the 2014 Toyota AFL Multicultural Round
To access your tickets;
1. Select the match in which you'd like to claim tickets for
2. Enter the Promo Code PASSPORT and press 'go'
3. Select the quantity of tickets you would like (up to four), press 'continue' then 'add to cart'
4. Select 'Ticket Fast' as your delivery method and 'checkout'
5. Review then 'Submit' your order
6. Select 'Print Tickets' then select to open your PDF file
7. Print the downloaded PDF file, all tickets will be in the one PDF file

It's going to look funny when they cross to the "multicultural" section of the crowd during the tv broadcast and it is all a bunch of Caucasian people wearing Ozbargain, Kinchrome and NewBalance shirts.

there is really no pointer that states to check if you're born o/s, nor do the lazy arses at the portress check anything

Re: Anyone for free AFL tickets
The offer specifically states it is only for people who hold an international passport. Whether this is checked during acquisition of said tickets is irrelevant because no one would check just in case.AFLcrap1 wrote:How dumb are you seriously..

Re: More free NRL tickets in NRL heartland
Didn't you say crowds were down because the bottom clubs getting flogged. And then it was pointed out that other clubs are also down. I think this was in discussions as to why they are down in Melbourne ... This bring Sunday late schedule and variable pricing.
On another note, and this goes to all who do it, don't you guys think changing the names of clubs or cities is pretty juvenile ??? I mean seriously ....
