FREE footy tickets are being flung to Collingwood fans for Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide.

Tens of thousands of Magpies members have been invited to “bring a friend for free” to the 4.40pm twilight match at the MCG.

The unprecedented move comes as the AFL seeks to address a crowds crisis at Victorian venues.

“We are very aware about how crowds are down ... some people are going to need a bit of a reason to come along,” Pies chief executive Gary Pert told the Herald Sun on Thursday night.
