The six-year anniversary is up and what will the owners do? Can they afford to keep that one promise of paying $1 and putting us back into the same financial position, even though the Souths “family” has sold 20 to 30 million dollars in assets to appease our owners and keep them from paying out cash?
Our owners this year had to agree for their “loans” to the football club to be extended as they could not be met. Loans? Did the owners not agree to put in the money?
I hope all goes well and we start to get those big crowds needed. I hope that a thousand people a day walk through the leagues club, that we win matches, that sponsors and memberships grow.

fantastic effort from the swans, i may not agree with a lot of the nrl/AFL stuff thats said on here about my sport but the swans lead the way in sydney in this bracket for sure

shoutout to the a-league clubs sydney fc (20,000+ members despite being not even 9 yrs old) and WSW(16.5k members despite being 2 yrs old) who are already running numbers superior to most nrl clubs in sydney

The Sydney Swans are edging closer to reaching a landmark 40,000 members for the 2014 season.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Swans’ membership count ticked over 39,000 members, bringing the target of 40,000 well and truly within the club’s reach.

It’s already been a milestone year for the Swans, with the club smashing the all-time membership record of 36,370 in March this year.

The 2014 season has also seen 7,148 new members sign on with the Swans, as well as more than 1000 members who were not members in the past two seasons returning to the club as members this year.

With home games against GWS, Carlton, Essendon, St Kilda and Richmond to come, there’s still plenty of value to get out of becoming a Swans member today.
