check the figures after it 50k turned up for the year after & 24k for the year after, so the NRL took off back to NSW with their figures up each others bums.

It's going to be hilarious to see a half filled G for SOO. Leaguies wanna hope there is more interest than last time at the G when just 25k bothered turning up.

It'll probably sell out. Its a marquee event, similar to Liverpool playing Melbourne Victory or a Rolling Stones concert and such. People will go to the game because its an event, not because of some renaissance in rugby league in Victoria, any more than the Liverpool game boosted crowds for the Aleague. This is what some of the AFL folks are trying to get across here - Origin is not reflective of a greater interest in Rugby league, its reflective of peoples interest in the event itself.

and what we leaguies are trying to get across here is
our game has these marquee event/s that can attract a sellout A list venues almost anywhere its played
