Yes I agree we must stand up against racism, all of us...well we prob wont get qldisafl, he's as racist as they come, but we'll def have all the RL supporters on board :D

But whilst on fightclub we must also point out the deficiencies of the opposing code and im afraid all the evidence points towards heightened racism in the AFL.

Given that the demographic of a rl supporter is generally your bogan redneck ... Typified by regional qld... And it is the usually uneducated feral that makes such comments, I think it would be fair to say the rl has more then their fair share of racist supporters ... AFL does has a few as well as it covers many demographics ..,. However it is what we do about these people. We have already educated dave about how when he tries to put down AFL players as being gay or that AFL is a bastion of homosexuality ... That he is actually making homophobic remarks in try to make AFL look bad by associating it with homosexuality, which in his eyes, is bad... Hence his pairing of the two . We can now do the same with those racists out there who belittle others based on the colour of their skin. Just last year, an aboriginal boy was vilified by an opposition parent at mudgeerabra. When another parent complained nothing was done on the day. Not until she went to the media was action put in place. It happens in junior AFL too...rather than fight each other as to which code is worse, why not band together and fight racism itself. Point scoring on whose code does it less just divides and is useless point scoring... If it weren't such a Serious topic I'd say go for it ... But it is serious so let's be united in stamping out racism wherever it occurs

Here's a thought ... Rather than trotting out meaningless insults how about you address the post. FORMER Port Adelaide and Essendon forward Che Cockatoo-Collins is shattered after his oldest son quit the game because of a case of racial vilification.

It comes as the game is celebrating its Indigenous Round.

Cockatoo-Collins, who played 85 games with Essendon and 75 with Port from 1994-2003, said the game has missed out on a potential top-10 draft pick after under-14 player Sachem turned his back on the game.

It has led Cockatoo-Collins to seek out legal advice, and the family is now considering making a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission as well as the Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland.

Sachem was racially abused by a boundary umpire in a club game, was allegedly called “n****r’’ by the umpire and targeted with remarks from the official suggesting he should watch his back.

Cockatoo-Collins’ son has since been targeted via social media.

He played out the year, was named best afield in last year’s grand final but then handed in his jumper.

A distressed Cockatoo-Collins has since sought the counsel of fellow Essendon player and human rights activist Michael Long and the AFL’s Jason Mifsud to get some closure to the matter.


Maybe a 2 white parent policy will satisfy the large racist still living in the 1950s element in this game.

Like all things fight club, its about blowing something one person said out of proportion. the problem for us is that Matt Rendell lliterally said this was the case amongst some recruiters. so naturally, the Rl guys have seized on that.
