Re: How would you make AFL a less embarrassing looking game?
Football was much more interesting game to watch in the 80s and 90s, the players mostly stayed in their zones . A player would cross through other zones only during a passage of forward play he was instrumental in therefore swarming and congestion was less of an issue.
Despite some of the shortcomings in today's football our national game is the one to watch.
How do rid Australia of this NRL embarrassment ?
That is the most urgent question to address.

Re: How would you make AFL a less embarrassing looking game?
Did the NRL head of strategy get promoted directly from his lemonade stand or is it just that big crowds spook those poor little NRL players?
AFL 2019 total attendance: 7,517,677 (36,317 per match)
NRL 2019 total attendance:3,176,561 (15,804 per match)
Who's game needs improving????

Haha AFL can't even grow out of one country. And is only dominant in half of that country.Scott79 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 8:31 am Did the NRL head of strategy get promoted directly from his lemonade stand or is it just that big crowds spook those poor little NRL players?

Look at the AFL international cup bro. Is a farken joke,
No tv coverage
No crowds
Australia is not allowed to compete.
Rugby League kills AFL globally. Just look at social media who is following which sport more around the world.
Facebook NRL has 2,170,956
Facebook AFL has 1,214,217
UK RUGBY LEAGUE GRAND FINAL 2019
SAMOA VS TONGA IN NEW ZEALAND (RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD CUP)
SELLOUT FINAL TORONTO CANADA (WOLFPACK)
Show me people turning up to AFL matches in other countries like this? It just does not happen. There is simply no interest for AFL outside Australia.
The fact no other countries like AFL prove it is a lemon.

Haha you compare the codes like rugby was originally Australian, then when shown some stats you have to look overseas. Stick to Australia, how many states have an NRL club??? AFL played in WA, SA, Tasmania, Vic, NSW, ACT and have playing in NT in past years.

Many have tried, but no matter how many times you polish a turd its still a turd.
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

Haha looking at you back peddling. Wanting to stick to Australia just proves you know Rugby League wins hands down over AFL on the world stage.Scott79 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 11:23 am Haha you compare the codes like rugby was originally Australian, then when shown some stats you have to look overseas. AFL is still second to Ruby League in NSW and Qld anyway.
AFL is usually shown on Ch 7mate in NSW and Qld instead of Ch 7 because it rates so badly.
Honestly AFL coverage from the media is well behind the NRL on radio, television & news papers/digital media in NSW & Qld.
Then you look at State Of Origin in Melbourne. Twice they got a bigger crowd than any AFL match ever played in NSW or Qld.
