Re: AngloFL failed global expansion.. next destination
Here's a kiwi's take on why the AFL will never expand in New Zealand despite massive efforts and Gilty's boast that they'd eventually have a team in the top comp. I particularly like reason sux........the games a mess lolololol!!!!!!

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Friday Night NRL TV
Knights v Bulldogs
National: 737,000
Nine/GEM: 509,000 (5 City: 292,000 / Regional: 217,000)
Fox League : 228,000
Look at that regional figure, so close to that Metro..
(AFL numbers to come>> looks to be over 1 million)

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Nope, except the super bowl, tried, failed, these days I tend to flick over to see the crowd then flick back.
Wasn’t praising Fosters, they don’t have CD in the states, a bloke has gotta drink what a bloke has gotta drink.
Suns lowest crowd of the round so far, can’t imagine any other game will go ...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Gotta say SC very impressive, and extra FTA games still to come on top of 2 extra rounds.
The good ol girl Rugby League season: 70.8m at an average of 521k
The not so good AFL Season : 69.2m at 480k
Wow  A show is a show. And that all taken into consideration.
Who ever compared ...

Re: Sydney Football Stadium rebuild in chaos as Lendlease leaves project
Just checked.
50% larger than the biggest NRL crowd for the round and 3 times the game in Sydney at about the same time.
If the AFL is the "world least popular sport" where does that leave RL in this country?

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Serious question. When you say Swans are team of the elite do you think they (AFL) have stepped into the void left by RU.
I also wonder whether this AFL v rl thing that we see mainly in the rl states is due to their being a culture of competition between rl and ru over the years as to which is ...

Re: Rank the Codes in NSW
Fluctuations. Happens. Lots of things impact ... swans doing poorly, what’s at stake etc. But the growth in people playing the game. Number of teams, leagues ... that’s growth. AFL... number two sport in Sydney and nsw. Easily.
Growth in all numbers you can bullshit.
Well I’ve shown you a ...

Re: AFLX to begin in February in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne
I can’t say I’m glad it’s gone, I can’t say I will miss it, I can only say I once wasted 30 mins giving it a try. Australian Rules is not suited to a short ground unless you got rid off the kicking part of the game, which would mean it wouldn’t be football.

Re: Rank the Codes in NSW
Anglofl is a niche pastime north of Beetson line - not widely played or supported. Millions have been poured into keeping gws afloat, while swans benefitted from cola forever. Don't mistake AngloFL investment for interest.
Again, new teams, clubs, leagues and competitions - so it is widely ...

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Dragons vs Titans
“But, sadly, the lowest Kogarah crowd in the joint venture’s 20-year history - a paltry 6532 fans - turned out as the Dragons put the Titans to the sword with a 15-minute second-half point-scoring blitz.”
