Re: AFL indigenous player numbers falling, even after already being less than the NRL.
Yeah they definitely can't really call themselves Australia's indigenous code with stats like this.

Was so good to see the Manly beat Woke Melbourne.
Great win, Sea Eagles 26-20 Storm. Battle of Brookvale has a long history of close games and this was no different. When you think about it, the Northern Beaches has everything woke Melbourne doesn't. Great surfing beaches, Suburban grounds, Summer vibes, Team cheerleaders. It's like the California ...

Re: giggleball legend fumes because NRL is leading the way
The only way AFL can do a State Of Origin is to have an East vs West battle. WEST (WA, SA, NT) vs EAST (Vic, NSW, Qld, Tas) Maybe call is STATES OF ORIGIN.. Is really no other way it can be done. So then every area is included in Australia, and still a battle of talent. States of Origin is a very g...

AFL indigenous player numbers falling, even after already being less than the NRL.
The NRL currently has a higher percentage of indigenous players compared to the AFL, with 12% of NRL players identifying as indigenous, compared to 9% in the AFL. This information is based on data from NITV, which is an Australian Indigenous television channel. The disparity in indigenous representa...

Re: Tassie Devils It Is
They already have a bigger following than GWS and The Suns combined. They should have been added to the comp 2 decades ago.

Re: Who or Where is Next?
The fact that there is not one clear choice, is why I believe that there will eventually be 22 teams in the AFL. Out of the leaders, I would choose the Canberra area, to be known as CMM Rams. Canberra-Murray-Monaro, with most home games played in Canberra, 1 in Albury-Wodonga and 1 alternatively in...

Re: Battle Of Brisbane 2024
Will be interesting to see if they add a 5th Queensland NRL side in the next 5-10 years. It would likely be a replacement for the previous South Queensland Crushers.

Re: Who or Where is Next?
Now Tassie is locked in ….. Where will the 20th team be located? My thoughts on viable options Canberra 3rd Adelaide Team Newcastle Less viable A “top end” team based out of Darwin and plays games in Cairns (cairns and surrounds has a strong Aussie Rules following) - A team in regional Victoria - m...

The mascot looks professional at least. More like a NRL or NFL style one.
A lot of the AFL team logo's look very shit. This is probably one of the best.

Re: GWS in the most populated district in Australia and they still need to play in Canberra?
This really says it all. Western Sydney has more people living there than each of these cities, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide. More people than every single individual AFL clubs supporter district. Over 2.6 million live in Western Sydney. Why do they need to play in Canberra too? If the sport was any g...

It is as stupid as suddenly deciding Collinwood will play half their games in Adelaide. Basically the same logic.
