Re: Fight Club: 2016 AFL Crowds and TV Ratings [Running season tally in OP]
With the typical regionals of 200 this will get around 1.05m. Not sure thats bad for a Thursday. Sure is better than most of the nrls thursday night games. The afl creaming the nrl on fox for Thursday and Friday games too if the regionals are that.. the NRL has had 9 Thursday nights games 5 of them...

Re: SOO 2016
We dont have the same amount of games, all but one overlap. In affect we have about 50 less games for the year the AFL schedule the home state games each week, upping the figure. the AFL could easily change the scheduling to make all games not overlap. but they do not.. because this way is working ...

Exactly. Favourable media reporting for thw AFL is total hogwashFred wrote:Firstly, the fact you are aware of these suggests it was reported.
All i know is that there is plenty in the media about afl players misbehaving and articles negative of the afl.

Re: Fight Club: 2016 NRL Rugby League Crowds and TV Ratings [Running season tally in OP]
Again, counting nz does not go toward any argument of which code is more popular in australia. it doesn't, but than the NRL now have 15 teams up against 18 ..NRL seem to be doing pretty well than. but of those 15 clubs only 1 is outside your heartland states, so you have 4 heartland clubs. The AFL ...

Re: SOO 2016
X man so what if it is the most popular format of our game? the reason it is, is the history and its state v state players from all clubs, combining into one team. there a reasons it outrates NRL games, it is 3 times a year. and it a higher level. and it is usually is a great game. so of course it ...

Re: SOO 2016
Lol what retaaaarded logic SOO is RL We're comparing RL v AFL Oh my Its perfectly sound logic. SOO obviously has a popularity of its own, far above the NRL, even its most important game. In fact it even smashes international RL. QLD and NSW sure love it, but seem to think far less of every othwr fo...

Re: SOO 2016
Game 3 a dead rubber will still outrate any AFLOl game bar the GF . Lol A meaningless game will be more popular than all AFL games bar 1 Let that sink in fumblers Same applies for the nrl. A dead rubber will outrate all NRL games for the year and maybe even your GF. What does that say about the NRL

Re: SOO 2016
I can totally understand why you backwards ballers are so excited. Its one of few RL games a year that has any sort of build up or crowd. It rates great of course which makes up for how poorly the rest of your RL games rate hmmm that is weird, the NRL ratings are massive and are beating the AFL GO ...

Re: Western Australias growing NRL influence
I don't have an ignorant view of AFL. I have a truthful view. Getting a point for missing is not skill. Having goals with no crossbars to make it easier to score is not skill. Being able to drop the ball constantly is not skill. Being given a kick at goal just because you were able to catch a high ...

I wouldnt call participation a true indication of the number 1 sport. http://www.roymorgan.com/findings/6123-australian-sports-participation-rates-among-children-and-adults-december-2014-201503182151 According to a Morgan poll the top participation sports for Australian adults are swimming, cycling,...
