the NRL about to show fumbleball how its done

Post by azif »

Again

the 5th addition of Magic round is here folks in Brisbane this coming weekend

Sold out weeks ago , every ticket accounted for with 150,000 attendees including 30,000 coming in from interstate to join the festival.
All games at the same ground so a fan can attend all 8 games over the 3 days if they wish...

unlike that pale pathetic copy cat attempt by the afl where games are all over the place & on at the same time as other games 8-[ :hmm: :-k
    :(/ :(/ :(/

It is indeed a magic round & there is no substitute

There is nothing magic about it.
The closest thing to magic about this over exposed non event is the ability to pull free tickets from out of a hat.
If it's anything like last year's fiasco only half the people with tickets will bother to show up.
I didn't want a crap name anymore !

I suppose we don’t know the numbers of free tickets or the number of paying attendees against freebees?
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.

The success of the original & the best of these types of weekends just gets bigger each year. Every other sport in Brisbane was shown the door figuratively ... union? , oh come on

sooker ? , yea nah :-k

the drops & oopsies , :hmm:
paaaaalleeasseeee   :(/

nope the city & states fave sport ruled the roost & then some, no wonder its been locked in for the next 3 years when the QLD Govt stumped up the cash $$

now
would it work anywhere else after 2027 ?
Sydney , while the city has the 2 big rectangle stadiums, unlike Suncorp its 30 minutes to any entertainment precinct , plus half the teams playing fans live in Sydney ... so its a no

Melb .. AAMI is perfectly located to the CBD , but its not big enough for this event & the AFL won't allow the MCG or marvel to be used during their season on the weekend .... so its a no

Adelaide ... weirdly is a better option then both of the above despite not having an NRL team , If there was a weekend where the AO was free it might work . Close to the CBD , its a defs maybe

Perth , same as above but Perths time difference & the cost to travel there might rule it out. 35K people probably wouldn't make the trip like they would to the above cities

Auckland , they used to host the 9's & it was a big deal , they have a 45K seat stadium & would easily fill it for 3 days with OS visitors & locals .. a big maybe for NZ

anyway
Magic round ,
