All 4 incidents were unacceptable, simple as that. However, they are symptoms of a society problem where women have been poorly treated by celebrities or men in power for some time. Now the flood gates have opened so we are seeing revelations of female mistreatment almost daily. Hopefully this will instigate change.

However, let's not kid ourselves that the NRL arent also involved in such poor behaviour. In fact McGuire's joke was of very poor taste, and other offenses listed were equally as poor, but pale in comparison to the acts listed below https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... ont-fix-it
- In 2009, South Sydney captain Greg Inglis was charged with assaulting his now-wife Sally Robinson, but escaped conviction in 2010

- Fellow Rabbitoh Kirisome Auva’a pleaded guilty to a drunken assault of an ex-girlfriend only last year – but will return in round 23, having had his “indefinite” suspension downgraded.

- The Sharks’ Ben Barba allegedly struck his partner, Ainslie Currie, so hard that bloodied photographs of her appeared in the Daily Telegraph in 2013. He’s now enjoying a prominent career with Cronulla.
- 2017 - Parramatta's Kenny Edwards has been suspended for the first seven games of the NRL season after pleading guilty to domestic violence-related assault charges earlier this week.

- 2016 - A FORMER NRL player believed to be named in an application for a domestic violence order did not appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court when the matter was heard yesterday. The retired player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was not required to appear in person if he had reached an agreement with his wife, who it is understood made the application.

just like racism and homophobia, these are society problems, not unique to one sporting code like KE tries to make out

The difference as I've explained is how the respective codes handle the problems to try to discourage others from doing the same .

Spoken like a true brainwashed fumble,r
Our players are worth more so they have more to lose .

You are an imbecile
You contradict yourself .
Scream zero tolerance yet make excuses why the AFL is lenient on wrongdoers compared to the NRL .
Get help
You're all over the place
No I'm not. [-X
You think there's a difference between the league's treatment of offenders.
I offered a feasible explanation why.
What's yours? :-k
And stating the punishments isn't an explanation why.

And I've consistently stated that zero tolerance is the only solution. Fuck them all off. :puke:
They have no place in Australia's game. :/;

Oh my
You're still all over the place
Your explanation was t feasible
It was laughable .

Look at the history of AFL .....
Sweep sweep ...nothing to see here .
Hush money ..that'll make this problem disappear.

You still don't get it .
For all it's faults RL is not shy about punishing wrong doers in their game .
Sometimes very harshly .
When the same incident happens in AFL .....the result is a wet lettuce leap slap .
Yet you think this is because some players in the AFl earn a bit more ..
What planet are you on .

Abuse, sexual harassment, despicable mysoginistic acts and domestic violence is many times more prevelant in the NRL. The players are never punished enough by the clubs or administration in case the NRL brand is further tarnished.
The fans need to stop making excuses for these hooligans, these are rogue acts so stop diverting attention to them by pointing out the misdeeds of other sportsman.
Get off your sanctimonious high ground and own up disgraceful player behavior within the Nrl

Nice post pal. Any proof of, "is many times more prevelant in the NRL." Have you ever heard of Gary Ablett, Wayne Carey, Ricky Nixon, Stephen Milne et al, etc etc etc and on and on we can go with the fumbling game perpertrators. Quit while you're behind pal.

2 can play at this game. Multiple AFL fans have been evicted or lost membership rights for racist behaviour. Entire sections of blues supporters were ignored by the NRL while hurling racist abuse
