lets see how your gay RL player describes his experience:
Ian downplays his coming out, calling his sexuality “the worst kept secret in rugby league.”
Despite being told by his coach that it wouldn’t be accepted, and his fears that his personal and professional lives couldn’t possibly mix, Ian decided to be open about his orientation after getting to know a child with HIV.
Ian thought he would open the door for other athletes to come out – but he was surprised when, decades later, the game hadn’t changed as much as he’d expected.
“I thought there would be a trickle on effect … I wouldn’t have thought, 20 years down the line, that only one other player had come out at the end of his career,” he says. “We like to think things have changed, but they haven’t really.”

So according to Roberts he was told by someone within the NRL NOT to come out. Despite this he did so, not because he felt supported or accepted, but because he felt convicted about someone he knew who lived with AIDS. Since coming out he has seen no real change in attitudes about gay acceptance within the RL community.
So you can take your sanctimonious horse shit about the differences in gay acceptance and shove it up your arse
Simple fact
We have had a gay player
We have an openly gay referee .
No probs
& just because a coach advised against it doesn't Change the fact that he was accepted .
Just like Checcin is accepted .
& I can be as sanctimonious as I want to be
Because your backward racist homophipobic sport still hasn't had a gay male come out .
It is well into the 2000s
Except in afl ..welcome to 1950 .
One player who came out in the 90s at the end of his career to make money out of and no other player come out since
Your codes commission does nothing to support the gay communities
Mean while the afl does my and even have has a gay pride round
So your logic the nrlol in general is still homophobic
Bahahahahahaha
The usual self irony in your stupid logic
They're all spear tacklers: just a consequence of lifting too many weights and needing to uncramp your body!
No that's just something I hadn't heard of till now so thanks me porkchop. We should also commend the ffa on their support.post_hoc wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 11:58 amHate to be a me too type, KE but FFA also a supporter.King-Eliagh wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2017 12:16 pmThe afl and NRL position on same sex marriage has been validated by the overwhelming majority of Australians who voted yes for marriage equality.
Hooray for the afl and NRL for having the gonads to state their organisation's position.
Though I bet buzz and many other afl fans are disgusted that today they've officially been demoted to minority status
There there buzz there there. You'll just have to protect ur kids the best you can now ok?
I dunno... perhaps if you lifted some weights for a change you'd feel better?
Lol, you are in love with crapper ohhhhhhhhhh how sweet !King-Eliagh wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 8:34 pm

You can get that in pretty much any country!
Yeah I work for a construction company with a lot of Arabs from Liverpool & Bankstown areas and they are all very against it.Buzz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2017 6:30 pmWhoever thought the kingpins would participate in a voluntary survey ?
Northern Beaches and Newcastle both had some of the highest yes votes. And they have some of the biggest Rugby League fanbases in the country.
