Swans jump Cat's at the buzzer

Post by SBR »

Amazing scenes tonight, Sydney were extremely lucky to win, Geelong controlled the match for most of the night... final quarter enter one Nick Davis (four final quarter goals) as the swans one by 3 points with ONE second to go!

Well done Swans!

Sydney Swans 7. 14. (56) def. Geelong 7. 11. (53)

I still can't believe the result. We hardly played well for pretty much all but the dying stages of the last quarter. Still a wins a win and we now head to the MCG for a preliminary match up with the Saints. Hopefully victory last night will inspire us to overcome the Saints.

Gee we partied hard in Sydney last night. I still get teary eyed every time I watch Nick's final goal with 3 seconds left on the clock. What a game. This is what finals footy is all about. First time ever that I tried to make a call after a game and got a message that the Optus networks in the area were jammed. What a night in Sydney town.
