I would have to say the SANFL is the most better State Competiition here.

Not sure, but I'd probably say the VFL followed by one of either the SANFL or WAFL. The SANFL and WAFL would be about even in popularity wouldn't they?

Clearly from standard of games, and crowd attendances it would be SANFL, then VFL, WAFL, NTFL (Tas.) and then NTFL (NT) AFLST.
I am sure there are some leagues above the AFLST, which would make them least popular due to bad administration.

I assume NTFL (Tas.) stands for Northern Tasmanian Football League? If that is indeed the case, why aren't both leagues (NTFL & AFLST) under the one banner of AFLTAS? And what's this about bad administration at AFLST?Matrix wrote:Clearly from standard of games, and crowd attendances it would be SANFL, then VFL, WAFL, NTFL (Tas.) and then NTFL (NT) AFLST.

1. The North Coast of Tasmania and Hobart have never got along in football administration. It's a rivalry that has always split the state.Beaussie wrote:I assume NTFL (Tas.) stands for Northern Tasmanian Football League? 2. The real problem is Football Tasmania. They put too much into the state team in the VFL and not enough into what they should be doing. Clubs around Hobart and the general southern region have been going over like nine pins. They don't even react when local private schools push clubs off their ovals and change them to soccer grounds!!
On subject - yes the SANFL are the strongest. I'm struggling to seperate the VFL and the WAFL but they are the next two.
I would rate AFL Queensland and AFL Canberra just ahead of the NTFL - and the other NTFL (Northern Territory) would be in that group as well.

I guess you did not see the result of the WAFL vs VFL game on saturday.LisaJ wrote:I would say that the two strongest would be the WAFL and the SANFL..coming after that in terms of talent would be NTFL and VFL the others are still emerging..
