about 1,500 people who paid for the tickets....the others are only there because of the free tickets.....and yes, no one in the AFL States will give a stuff about this stupid 'game' unless they stay up till 3 in the morning to watch the 30 min highlights!

The tickets have been on sale for the past 8 weeks now and they only sold out yesterday.

Whatever the crowd, it wont come anywhere near the numbers that attended the AFL GF. Most Australians wont see it on TV either, as it is only being shown in NSW, QLD and VIC.

Whatta crowd! absolute capacity eh beaussie! And the amazing thing is ruigby league people buy their tickets without even knowing their team will make it. Now thats what i call love of the game. You dont see those afl bums doing that. They're all on the streets like a bunch of hobos on sunday night in sydney scavenging for the tickets.

Well done rugby league for another stellar year of crowds and excitement...especially in sydney, the place where beaussie lives. :D

It's like the football season is over in Sydney. Grab the Daily Telegraph and you'll find just as much news on the Swans/AFL as you will the NRL GF. Nothing like past season. The Swans winning the premiership has certainly taken the spotlight away from the NRL. Even in the NRL's own rag the Daily Telegraph.
