This is the year (2025) they will play finals, will not get much further, but I reckon eight years of consecutive finals with at least 1 premiership.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.

Aussie Rules has always had a large base on the Gold Coast and SE QLD but I do think the Suns harness that to a degree. How does the annual grant/distribution compare to what other teams get? I think if thix is no longer too much different from other clubs (or when) then that will be a good sign. Also when AFL games in general are played on the main channels that will also be a good sign. Currently we get The Front Bar - if I see Footy Classified on 9 (even if not on main channel) I would be happy.

they're the 2nd biggest pack of plonkers in Australian sport ..... behind the GWS grants

if they got the average grant distribution of 20 mill instead of the 30 mill they got ...
they lost 5 million in operations in 2024... not profited.
its just cooking the books , which is par for the course for the fumbling game from Vicdopia. [-X [-X [-X [-( [-( [-( [-(

Thanks asif - that’s good to know - so about 5 mil and they are breaking even - I think they’ll get there sooner rather than later.

Would be good to have a list of the distributions to each club .

I don't think they'll get near breaking even ..... The fumbleball premiers the wions can't even get close ( 3rd highest grant distribution , not much lower then the thuns )
so how could anyone in their right minds think the useless thuns could ?

The fumbling game in QLD struggles & has since day dot , gifted premierships & dodgy membership numbers has not translated to financial stability for the QLD derps & misses clubs.

Freddy if Melbourne Suburbs were flooded with Sydney Folk, rugby league would go even better too

I give the example of my Cricket Club, its probally a 80% to 20% split NRL to AFL
and all the blokes who love AFL have moved up to GOLD COAST in past 3 to 7 years.

it doesn't , ex pats & skinny white clowns playing a soft game because they can't play anything else .... is all it is
The fact its 2 elite QLD clubs can't turn a buck & rely on handouts from fumbleball house proves its all smoke & mirrors

Not that I’ve ever put any value in membership numbers as a marker of support - but I don’t think I have see. 1 game memberships - not at start of season - I think they offer a cheaper membership in second half of year and start getting creative as games left reduces.
