the unbridled passion of international football
The final of the pacific championships in Parramatta yesterday was an event , as was last weeks game in Auckland
The noise was deafening from the Sipi Tau ( Tongan war dance ) to the final minutes
spine tingling
hair on your arms standing up
The Tongans break into singing Hymns ... like a Choir ...& you're just in awe of the noise that rattles around the stadium they're in
up through your shoes it goes
Fans now want to go to games involving Tonga , because of the theatre they bring , the culture of the pacific islands in international RL atm is special
Tonga , Samoa , Fiji , NZ , PNG
Its simply amazing
meanwhile fumblers cheer on suburbs

Great game.
Meanwhile, do people even know the AFL W is still going
Oh but wait they have the AFL international cup with no tv coverage and no crowds.

Pity you can’t get decent crowds in your heartland regular games.

Pacific Islands is where the AFL needs to invest.
Quite a few famous AFL players have come from Pacific Islands but more needs to be done.

Tonga

FIJI
Cook Islands
PNG
pretty much in Rugby League hands with the funding being pumped into grassroots there
by NRL and Government, be hard to get a look in for the AFL

That must make AFL like a spec on a piece of dog shit in that case then, when it is only played in one country...

..
China Fail, NZ Fail
