The Gold Coast Thuns, the most hopeless team in Australian sport ?

no finals again in 2024
14 seasons & still not 1 finals game under their belt... not.... 1
with all the ... draft concessions , extra financial assistance & more $$ they can spend on the salary cap then anyone else can .. well anyone except the midgets
still nothing , nada ... zilch
In Australian elite sport , only the NRL's Dolphins haven't played in a final , but in only their 2nd year , they are still a chance of making the finals with 2 rounds to go this year & if they don't make it this year , they most certainly will in their 3rd season.
Melb united & Macarthur Bulls, the newest teams in the A League , yep .. finals already
The Melb Rebels .....you know , the team the owner of this site , Bea Arthur said would run the Melb Storm out of town..
never played a finals game in their history , they have been wound up , closed down ... thrown into the garbage bin of history where they belong.
in this age of equalising measures & all the extra help they get ... why fumblers ... why are the Thuns

They have outlived several other Gold Coast teams but you can’t count them as hopeless because they failed!?
I didn’t think they would make the finals this year…but wait until 2025.

If the Suns haven’t gone well, the Titans have been disastrous.
The Giants have done incredibly well on the field and very badly off it.
About the only thing we agree about, in a fashion, is that the Giants have been badly managed and it shows.

Was disappointing indeed - they have all these concessions - some great academy players meaning more locals in the team, signed some great players to longer term contracts, and on the injury front fared pretty well. So majorly disappointing.

Each year the Suns are going to be making the finals and so many false dawns. People are getting sick of it. They definitely will make it at some stage soon - should have made it this year - losing games against North Melbourne and other lesser teams away cost them dearly.

Look back at my posts…I did not think they were going to make it this year….2025 was my target.

Expectation was too high this year based on a new coach and some inexperienced kids.
Next year is the start.
Even with the disappointing season their crowds went up and will continue to do so….
All this is based on them NOT getting Dusty.
