$530K per club per year , as the annual grant from the governing body
these hooligan ball clowns are wetting their pants over the Matilda's
but their domestic mens comp doesn't even qualify as a joke ,
by comparison
NRL clubs currently receive $20 million PA each
from 2028 they will get 23 million each per year
giggleball has an " equalisation " fund that distributes to the clubs based on their individual ability to raise $$ for themselves
So the Midgets & thuns , having no fans or interest in their home markets get about $35 mill each per year , interestingly the 2023 GF appearing wions are 3rd on 32 mill which must be of huge concern to the aflol
while bigger clubs Collington & the West Coast Weagles get about $15 mill each etc
huge difference in these sports to the sad little sport of sooker

How you can run fulltime 'professionsl' sports teams on a head office grant of $500k per season beggars belief. One average NRL player is on similar money. ONE PLAYER!!!!!
What it does show is that as soon as Fox dropped soccer and Rugby they have both fallen of a cliff. Financially and in the public psyche. Goes to show both should have swallowed their medicine and taken a discounted deal from Fox. Dumb management from both codes. They are now reaping what they sowed.

$40 mill pa each for both of them is overs for mine , but foxtel was feeling generous I think. They could come crawling back when the rights are up again & probably only get the same deal offered back then, & they should take it too.

so 500k grant and clubs will still have a salary cap of 2.3mill or something..
plus a couple marque players.
The BIG Clubs will shine..
how much are the smaller clubs willing to loose
Mariners lost like 2million last year.. with club grant
and coming 1st and winning and winning ACL
and receiving few mill for those titles.
going to need a few more millionaires to bankroll this comp

on top of wug^b^y Australia shitting the bed again in 2024 financially
the A League attempts to reign in spending appear to have failed with the comp on life support & the miniscule central distribution amount of $530K possibly to be reduced further & a hard cap on players to be applied of 3 million total
some indication of how bad it is , is Melbourne Victory ( only club that releases its financial results annually )
lost a staggering 10 million dollars in 2024
The A league hopes it can secure a better TV deal next time round to be able to give the clubs some more $ , but concede the NRL ... described as a gorilla in the room
its that big
is going to suck the life out the media scene in Australia , in the immediate future

I have no idea how they've managed to keep going this long, and with 13 teams no less
