vicdumbians have been making up about 75% of paddle pop wions crowds for 36 years
&
they haven't filled a 40K seat stadium... once

but
sure they'd fill an 80K one tomorrow :-k

Every other Footy/Cricket stadium is great in other capital cities except for the Gabba.

Hopefully when it gets redeveloped for the Olympics it will be better.
why would they need a .... bigger ... stadium petey
when they've never filled the one they have :hmm:

      :(/ :(/ :(/
oh
& the gabba redevelopment will be scrapped , for a some lipstick on a pig alternative for the Olympics
theres no bang for buck
2.7 billion for a 50K seat stadium is.... utterly ridiculous & it won't go ahead

Once they redevelop The GABBA it will be world class. Befitting of Aussie rules ever growing presence naturally. I wonder if the broncos will ask to play games there for their bigger games? Maybe a curtain raiser to the Lions ?

Never mind, the AFL is moving into QLD anyway regardless of the Gabba getting fixed up or not. This is still very painful for you to handle the truth, hey.

I think there will be the redevelopment - but it does need to be of larger capacity. This will also benefit the summer national sport of Cricket.

Whilst we are talking of codes in QLD - what the hell has happened to Rugby Union in Queensland - AFL has zoomed past it into second spot - only ex-pat New Zealanders and some old school private boys seem to follow it nowadays. Thew World Cup defeat is a definite sign of that codes demise in NSW and QLD - where it is mainly played and followed.

100% the new Gabba needs to be at least 65,000.
