But Rugby League is probably the most North American style team sport played outside of that region of the world.
Has a lot of tactics they like in their sports.
Line breaks, Structured plays, Collision tackles, Fends, Side steps etc..
Will also be played on one of the best rectangular Stadiums in the world.
The AFL will be watching very closely and definitely will be considering doing the same if all goes well for the NRL
But it would be much harder for AFL to try to do the same due to zero knowledge of their sport and lack of suitable round venues. Americans at least know what Rugby is and Rugby League is obviously similar as we all know.

The fumbling code may well be watching but it won't do 'em any good. Their game is a stumbling, fumbling, bumbling rabble.
No sport in the world is as skill-less or easy to play as the Australian Fumbling League. They've already tried NZ and China and been laughably frog marched outta both joints.
The yanks would do the same if Gilty and the boys were so stupid as to try it on over there. They're better off dominating the feeble minded folk of Melbon and the little desert states. They own those joints ..................... and they can have 'em!!!!

That is so funny because it's true. I think the Americans would see AFL as some kind of comedy or sporting piss take.Terry wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 6:56 pmThe fumbling code may well be watching but it won't do 'em any good. Their game is a stumbling, fumbling, bumbling rabble.

Imagine trying to tell them you play football on a cricket field with 6 goals.
And the stupid songs played at the end of the game.

I wonder why the AFL didn’t think of playing games in North America before the NRL…..oh that’s right they did as the VFL decades ago…GlobalRugbyLeague wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 10:21 pmThat is so funny because it's true. They must have just added 3 zeros to bump up the numbers. Is more likely there are 20 people who know what AFL is in South Africa .truthbomber wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 6:59 pmthey also claimed to have 20,000...........participants .........in South Africa

I don’t like these overseas ventures. Aussie Riles is our gsme and no need to try and take it overseas.
