only question of any interest here is
which will be bigger in Brisbane at the wions game

the crowd or the TV audience

    :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
33k at Ground>
65k on Ch7 (Brisbane)

Usually rates well this game for the Lions.
(outside of Richmond and Finals this game is highest for crowds and tv)

Massive crowd at the Gabba. Lots of pies supporters but I’d say Lion”s fans much more vocal (annoyingly so). Probably more Lion”s supporters I’d say but fairly even.
prob say 60% Lions 40% Pies.

over 33k at ground,

Lions were a lot more vocal Pies had nothing really to cheer about..
Yeah - true - but at the start (and I was there remember) when Pies were in it - still may more vocal on the Lion's side. Very close in numbers - definitely, in my opinion, not 60 - 40 At best 45-55 - which is basicall even..

Without foxtel figures for Brisbane it's hard to know actual numbers as I would imagine most Pies supporters in QLD would be watching on Foxtel - but I am guessing if FTA is down then Foxtel is down too???

be good if they brought back Metro State numbers for FOX> was good when you got a breakdown of each state.
(back than QLD numbers were low anyways. (this is approx 5+ years ago)

I think their fan base is pretty good - and know the game. They were playing the biggest football club in the land let's remember.

i agree collingwood is a big club...

but members get priority to games (and Lions brag they have 35k + odd members etc..
and were prob outmatched by another teams support 1800km south at there home ground..

umm unthinkable in world sport.

my theory on how far the fumbles & giggles has penetrated main stream sports interest in NSW, QLD & the ACT after 40 years & billions spent is proven over & over
& the answer

not very far ...

My Son and I were in the members barracking for Collingwood :)

If I was to nominate which club had more supporters I would say the Lions - but was close indeed.

Anyway you want to cut - I think you'd have to say that the Lions have a pretty good base - just look at the previous game where Solphons were playing

It’s a silly idea.
Not needed.
Even sillier try to copy the NRL when the only reason they do it is to boost attendances.
And 18 games?
