30k impressive..

they literally had no media presence, spotlight or coverage.

and still managed 30k and 59k on TV
There was plenty of coverage - particuarly in light of it being in same time as the nrl game and also around how busy the city would be. You need to get out of your nrl bubble lol.
i will reframe my post..

LIONS got very limited coverage across radio, print and digital media in QLD when compared to the Brisbane Derby
which prob outnumbered it 10,000 to 1

i will say if you looked at numbers across the board.
this game generated more attention awareness than the LIONS will receive the entire H&A Season
Yet still the Lions managed close to a capacity crowd of well more than half of the dolphins broncos game…..pretty darn good head to head.

Not a bad crowd at the Giant”s game but the footy is terrible from both sides. Hard game to watch - it’s just terrible.

Lot of Geelong people here but plenty of suns supporters to. I’d say 45 - 55 - hard to tell which way

Good crowd though I’d say. Certainly not a strong sense re : crowd noise - plenty for both sides. Just went for a walk - decent size crowd with the big stand well patronaged.

well I'll be stuffed
3 words never used ever by anyone at a Midgets game at Homebush
but...
" it looked bigger "

9,691

maybe after the laughing & chortling & head shaking by anyone with functioning eyes after the attendance announced for rnd 1 ,
they've decided to post " actual" crowds now ? :-k
