If the lions get half the attendance of the broncos dolphins game…it will be a win.

Half will be a win….you should do a census on the birth place of attendees… depending on which argument you want put forward:
Australians who support Australian Rules are discriminatory, and I have toned down your diatribe.
But Queenslanders who support Australian rules are not true Australians or Queenslanders because they don't support rugby…and are discerning.

I think the Lions will get around 28,000 & the broncos will obviously sell out with 52,000
Melbourne is not a very popular team so 28,000 will be a good/decent crowd with mostly QLDs being there.

I think anything over 20000 is a good crowd for the Lions when versing Melbourne generally so if they get over 20000 this weekend would show a decent rusted in base.

i know it is only early but 2nd team has been well overdue.. and it is now highlighting
the extra presence a another brisbane team is doing for the game
the media interest and interest in the game especially in QLD has lifted to another level.
QLD will have another team within 5 years. (lock it in)
Agree, as I have posted before, I was a bit surprised that they did not admit 2 Brissy sides at once if the applications were so strong.
Will not be too long.
yeah, the NRL would not have enough balls to do that...
they were wanting a strong case for 1 entry and see how that goes..
But now they will go to the table real quickly and look for entry bids ASAP>

2 gorillas in the room each year in the derbies between these 2 clubs , everything else in Brisb will be forgotten about.
30K fans on average to games in Brisbane each week.
over 50K members between the 2 clubs at the moment, & probably over 60K by seasons end.
media space was already dominated by the Broncos & RL in Brisb, but the Dolphins & wayne bennett are going to soak up a huge amount of it too..
any fumblers still want to talk down the impact of the Dolphins on their silly little sport in QLD ?
i recan BRISBANE could fit another 2 clubs easily.. that is how big brisbane will become..
FIREHAWKS BID (South EAST)
IPSWICH TOOWOOMBA BID (JETS)
no other code would get a word in if this were the case.

I pretty sure the lions Melbourne game will get way over 20,000.
Although they are not popular, Melbourne won the flag 2 years ago & are probably the best team in the league right now playing the lions at home who should definitely finish top 4 even after last weeks terrible performance in Adelaide.
So to me its basically a top 4 clash which should be a great game that deserves a good crowd.

It is Wednesday 22.3.23 ( and we are still 2 days away)
I have never seen such hype surround a game in QLD outside GF and ORIGIN

It will be a big game. What do you think the crowd ratio will be leeroy as its a Dolphins home game?
I am guessing all the Broncos members wont be able to sit in their normal seats because of this.
