Yep. The Swans have a long record of getting a gun marquee player on their books. They had Tony Lockett, Barry Hall and now Buddy Franklin. On that record they should be a good chance to get Martin.
And they need to get him. Franklin is the only player who gets any media exposure in Sydney. The average Sydneysider wouldn't know one single players name outside of Franklin.
If Buddy goes and they don't get Martin their stocks will drop even lower.
yeah that is actually quite true.
the only names they would get mention in past few years would be Kieron Jack cause his father was a rugby league great
and lance franklin, besides like you said no one has a clue who the rest are.
it is on the same page of knowing the players as the Waratahs, unless a league convert goes there it is exactly the same

Quite a few players from the magnificent premiership years were reasonably popular, names such as Nick Davis, Michael O'Loughlin and Irish import Tadhg Kennelly .
