Collingwood vs Suns game to be huge.
Sports fans on the Gold Coast are in for a treat.

Look hard enough and you might even find Leeroy, Fred and Truthbomber amongst the crowd !

Some local fans will be scratching their head, pondering,
Who are the Titans ?

I’d put it this way - if you wanted to buy 4 tickets together it may be difficult.

I looked at a few sites and got a few different numbers. Lowest was 22,500I and 27000 highest. The 22500 was on the AFL site and think that is probably more accurate. I think the metricon site looked like was it was originally planned for.

Still a good crowd on the Gold Coast I would say. Thought I heard on the commentary that there was rain pre game? That would not have helped if that was the case.

The whole weekend has been forecast as a major rain event for much of the east coast however Saturday morning, whilst dtizzly, wasn’t too bad - consistent all morning but nothing bad. From afternoon on it didn’t rain but cold and overcast. I know some people who didn’t buy tickets cause of the forecast but don’t think k it would have impacted too much. I, for one, was dissapoibted as was looking for a full house.

Well, having my son with me - he said it was clearly a Collingwood dominated crowd - about an hour before the game. I think as it got closer to game day it evened out (I think locals are used to rocking up right on or just after the start for some reason - much to our annoyance of people coming in and having to let them by whilst the game was going - my son was amazed this was happening so frequently) - but I would say still clearly more Collingwood. In saying that, there was plenty of Suns fans - going on the crowd response say when Collingwood got a goal and Suns got a goal. I am guessing 60 -40 possibility in Pies favour.

The other thing my son was amazed at was at how many people are in the concourses and bars, getting food or drink or just chatting - he could not believe this whilst the game was on - when we were stuck in a line for a hot dog.

thanks for the comment.
your judgement seems pretty correct. a 60% to 40% split

i wonder why the man people sitting in bars and just chatting ? maybe not much care for the game just attended with friends
