Two years means nothing. Where are the participation numbers? If it was so popular how come Aussie Rules is played more than three times as much as thugby league?

Because it's not.

No RL at all on the Tiwi Islands or in the Maningrida or any other indigenous community.

Aussie rules wins. Like it or not.
Lol participation numbers .
The last desperate plea of a fumbler who has nothing .
almost as bad as fweddy
participation means zip... soccer is the glaring example

who watches soccer except poms & euro snobs in Australia
thats right .. no one else
is it played .. sure .. its easy , its girly

RL: is not'
it is hard & unforgiving but .. the best gladitorial sport on the planet to watch
Australias NFL
Americans find their beloved football damn hard to play , its too physical .. so they play other girly sports like soccer & lacrosse & others
But when it comes to watching & office cooler talk in winter
they have only ONE sport

You do better to show the game is actually desirable. Two NRL games over the last two years means nothing, and only in Darwin as well. Where are your games in Alice Springs hmm? Over the same period the AFL played 4 games in Darwin alone - add 2 in the Alice. And where is it in the communities?

I rest my case. RL loses. You lose.
The only thing you rest is ya brain pal lololololololoool!!! You seem to have the same delusions as bummsniffer. And that ain't a compliment I can tell ya lololol!!!
Ohh is that supposed to put me in my box? Well guess what - like RL in the NT; you failed.

22K fans watching the NRL in Darwin & about half that number watching the aflol & it

doesn't mean a thing :-k
    :(/ :(/ :(/

The NRL has taken Darwin with huge numbers of " easterners " moving there in recent years
Darwin has 165K of the NT's 253K population

leaving only desert dwellers left for the fumblers .... they can have them
NT is RL's now

say bye bye to the NT fumblers

Bye bye NT

bye bye
NT is Aussie rules. Fact. You can blabber all you want. You can't change anything. Average attendance at Marrara in the long term (which is where it really counts) is a win for the AFL. More Aussie Rules is played in the NT than thugby. Fact. If RL had taken over there would be more than just six clubs in Darwin. There are ten Aussie Rules clubs. Straight up - the NT is AFL territory.

Want to prove me wrong? Tell the NRL to play another game in Darwin during a season, and play a game in Alice Springs. But they won't. Why? Because they are in enemy territory and even they know it. You don't - and that says plenty about your connection to reality.

Attendances from 25 years ago are relevant as they are today. NT is Aussie Rules territory - like it or not. It's called reality - something that scares nine shades of cow manure out of you.

Type in the Barassi Line truthbomber & you will find that NT is totally AFL territory.

NRL can have most of Northern NSW & Eastern QLD but the rest of the country follows footy (AKA AFL to you)

AFL is in charge in the NT.

Live with it. It's reality and you have to adjust.

Show some courage and go to Kununurra on Saturday afternoon for some proper entertainment. Just up the road from you.

Darwin does not say otherwise. Darwin wants AFL. It has way more clubs that thugby league. That is a fact. Along with the fact that the NRL only played one game there and the AFL played two. So where's the NRL's second game? I know the answer. It's not NRL territory.

Live with it. And go to Kununurra on Saturday and learn about the best game on the planet - Aussie Rules.

I have Rugby League mates that live in Darwin & even they say AFL is bigger there.

They say "that weird sport you follow is massive here but we will never understand or get into it"

I think we all know that - even those saying it isn't so. It's just a shit stir and am surprised some take the bait.
