Yes Pippen we get it. Footy will never be that big in Western Sydney. Do you think most of the rest of the country care.

Re: Western Sydney failure for afl
Pal, what does it matter what the rest of the 'country' thinks. Fumblehouse has pumped hundreds of $millions into this plastic joint and the one on the Gold coast. They've told lies about crowds, memberships and participation rates. It's a legitimate story about fumblehouse BS.
And in fact many, in what you call the 'rest of the country', have called for the Ginats to be closed down due to being a money pit. So you just can't close this story down because you don't like talking about failure.
Take a teaspoon of cement pal and harden up!!!!

Gold Coast has a very strong local league - aussie rules is pretty big here. Will it survive at the AFL level re: the suns? I think so - they have a small but rusted in supporter base - which I feel the GWS does not have - not at the same level - and when they win - they win have bandwagen jumpers coming on board.

its easy
not popular
the wions still can't after 35 years & recent success make ends meet
they are struggling still financially
you have 2 other basket case teams ( one in QLD) who are $$ vacume cleaners
The Broncos are on the rise again & will play finals , The Cowboys are 3rd atm
The Dolphins will seal the deal with huge rivalries with the above 2 & the Titans from 2023
aflol in QLD , its done
bye bye fumblers

Re: Western Sydney failure for afl
I live in Brisbane & the Lions are quite popular when they are winning. Definitely not as much as the broncos but they still average around 30,000 a game when they are doing well.
The suns don't have any hope of success I don't think.

The Giants.
Slowly building a fan base.
May be many years before I say, a Giant success.
Must eventually focus resources and promotion on Sydney area only.
Southern areas including Canberra must have own team, extreme incompetence by the AFL to not build team in this region in early eighties.
And the Dolphins would like to thank all the pathetic losers on the pokies, that make our team financially viable.

Re: Western Sydney failure for afl
Most of the crowd sit behind the camera so I would say around 5,000 would be correct.
The AFL have no reason to lie about crowds.
You Rugby League guys are just jealous that the Giants home average is about the same as the Bulldogs in the NRL
