Springfield Stadium

See the new 80 Million dollar stadium in Springfield is almost complete - all AFLW games, Lions pre season games will be played there and Lion's head office will also be there. I think the Lion's will also train there (men's and women's). This is a big push into the growing and expanding West and one of the arguments for the next NRL to be in that area. Will be interesting to see how it goes however I am concerned that the home base apart from games is not located in Brisbane proper.

overall the pro's and the con's it was a superb deal for the Brisbane Lions

75million Dollar Oval with 9k capacity
Home Head Quarters and training Facilities
MEN AND WOMEN HQ
Con's
Brisbane Lions are based 33km away from the actual GABBA
Broncos Base are 3km from Suncorp in comparison
If i were basing a West Team to rival the Lions now that would be a good base to drive a fan base.

i recan the baulk of the games will be held at Springfield. (with temporally seating being added)
it would not put pass them and the government to do another upgrade to the stadium increasing capacity.
Show Ground could easily be upgraded to from now until Gabba redevelopment along with the below stadium.
