Putting a crowds thread here to avoid the nonsensical blatherings of the fight club (miderators?)

Seemed a good crowd last night for Gaines and Saints game. Was anyone there? Was it a lot of Saints fans or a good mix? Either way shows Canberra has a good Aussie rules following .

Good crowd tonight at the Suns v Lions game.

11k at GWS Game in Canberra..

15k for Suns against Lions in Goldie.

Interesting as it is the biggest crowd o have seen in quite a while at that ground.

Well average if they were NRL games, a bit disappointing for AFL games.

I think that’s the best crowd I’ve been in for sometime at Metricon. 11000 at Canberra - how many does it hold ?

yep , schools being hammered across the city prior to the school holiday break too , a friend of mine is a teacher & said their development officers were turning up with fists full of tickets , giving them to anyone who wanted them

In Canberra - during school holidays? Anyway,I think it’s a good strategy for a club clearly struggling for relevance. If it means that of let’s say of the 5000 extra that went that wouldn’t have and 2000 really enjoy it then that’s a win a think. Free tickets or not I think people still have to go. I also think a long weekend may have helped with saints supporters travelling and making a weekend of it.
