Have the Dolphins been given any assistance or special conditions - draft picks, salary cap, playing list etc.?
zero assistance and zero special conditions.

they are building there squad from scratch with no help.
coaching, admin, trainers, all from the ground up.

they will receive $13million dollars just like every other NRL CLUB in 2023.

you would actually say they are disadvantaged heading into the Season.

I thought they could have marquee players - but I guess that must be a thing in every club? Do you think that will be the same say if a team goes to Perth? I suspect the dolphins will be quite strong - drawing on history and in RL heartland. I think Perth is a no brainer by the way.

As I have posted before, I don’t think it will have as much impact on the lions as it will the broncos…will take a couple of years for the excitement to die down to see the ongoing impact.

Perth? Fraught with danger…not sure the not so big v would want to risk it.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.

depends if Broncos get out of the bottom 3 where they have been for 3 years now..

if they are high flying in top 4
Dolphins will have zero effect on them.

it will actually propell them to new heights.

the Media focus they get is outright crazy, having this less focus will ease the pressure.

I don't think so, have the same salary cap as all the other clubs as far as I know.

They will become a big deal next year though. Especially with Queensland having twice the number of NRL clubs as AFL next year.

DOLPHINS will now have interest in Brisbane Metro and to the North to Sunshine Coast and pass Rockhampton.

Yes, as long as Lions are doing well they will continue to grow their base. They already have a rock solid rusted on base - going to games Lion's fans seem switched on and know their footy. Aussie Rules would love this level of support and infaltration into Western Sydney to be honest - may in years to come.

If the Lions win the Premiership this year or even make the Granny then they will average 33,000 next year.
