Storm on their way to 35000 members
with them hitting 30,000 before the season has even started last week
& they're not even the defending premiers
should finish 2nd for 2022 behind Parramatta & just ahead of Souths & the Broncos ...
https://www.melbournestorm.com.au/news/ ... m-members/
& they're not carboard cut outs like the midgets members , they're real people

Re: Storm on their way to 35000 members
they are growing to have the biggest membership base in the LEAGUE>
while that is great and all, it also shows other NRL clubs membership is not yet ingrained like it is down South.
and before someone says
SWANS AND LIONS
they get a huge chunk of support from Melbourne.

yea its more proof that " memberships" are a **** state thing , something RL fans are still grappling withleeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 1:11 pmthey are growing to have the biggest membership base in the LEAGUE>

we will break the all time record in 2022 for NRL membership numbers at around the 350,000 mark.

Re: Storm on their way to 35000 members
350,000 is terrible.
AFL has like 1.5 Million members.
We are very passionate supporters. You cant say that about Rugby League.
I must admit origin is ok but other than that NRL is very boring & average.

Re: Storm on their way to 35000 members
AFL is a religion in most of Australia like soccer is in England/Europe & American football is in the USA.
Rugby League is a second rate sport in most countries just like it is here.
Lucky you have origin is all I can say.

You've been away from he for awhile .
I missed your inane ramblings about the popularity of fumbleball .
But you e made up for it with this one
religion in most of Aust.
You should have spent your time away getting out of the brainwashed cult .
The propaganda is not good .
TLPG liar extraordinaire

Re: Storm on their way to 35000 members
Although I know that this a fight club but why can't we all just get along. There is nothing wrong wrong with liking both codes.
People in Melbourne love the Storm although most of them do not follow or even understand Rugby League. They just love sport in general. Yet in Sydney AFL is hated & if you say that you like the swans you will get laughed at & called a GAFL supporter. I could only imagine what it is like in the western suburbs with GWS
It happens in Brisbane a lot also where I am from.
I just don't get why you rugby league supporters have so much hate a jealousy to AFL. Its very strange.

I'm really sorry to hear that Petey. I feel your pain pal. And a couple of zinger anecdotes about those terrible, horrible RL folk breaks my heart.Pete__09 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 4:00 pmAlthough I know that this a fight club but why can't we all just get along. As such I hereby am offering an olive branch Petey. I want to be your friend. Lets discuss all sport as a sort of kumbaya brotherhood. We can figuratively hold hands and swap beautiful little tales of our respective favourite sports.
You go first Petey. Lead the way. Take us to the promised land. Really looking forward to it pal!

Re: Storm on their way to 35000 members
All I am saying is sports can co-exist.
I mean look at America. In most city's there they have a football, baseball & basketball team which most people who like sports follow. There is no hate. Melbourne is like that & Brisbane is to a lesser extent. But Sydney is just bad. They seem to hate any other sport that is not Rugby League or soccer in the Western suburbs. I just think we should all get along.
I know that's not possible in Sydney with sports which is upsetting
