I wasn’t the one asking was there anywhere that will show the NRL in PD
A typical fumble ploy to infer that A place is AFL mad & not interested in NRL .

No - I just posted what a person put on a Port Douglas Facebook page - noting the dominance of AFL in the area - there were responses such as the Central the AFL on the big screen upstairs and the NRL on in the beer garden and someone mentioned N17 bugger place would have it - to which the person who made the post responded that they had called but informed AFL was going to be on.
My mate also just moved there (bastard) and is a big Union fan (all blacks) and follows the Storm - he is not a big fan of Aussie Rules but will watch it - and he stated to me the other day that he was at the central and had the AFL on one side and the Storm on the other side so could watch both - but stated that he has since learnt it is a very AFL town - to which I explained it is all the southerners from Melbourne and Adelaide living there.

All pubs that are half decent will show both - even in Victoria or indeed South Australia as I notice in one pub in Mount Gambier this past weekend. If it's only showing one code then it's being bigoted. No matter what code it shows.

Just to clear it up - I posted a coming on a tourist Facebook page for Port Douglas of a tourist who was worried that they may not be able to watch the nrl Friday night given AFL takes preference in Port Douglas. It was just an observation of a tourist who is an NRL fan asking a question knowing the Port Douglas is largely AFL. Rightly so, the person was informed of places where could watch - including the central hotel. I was surprised when she said N17 weren’t having it on. Both sports are usually shown when I’m there.

It's funny in a sad way that the thugby supporters in here insist there isn't a problem, when they can't stand the competition from the AFL anymore than PVL can! It's no wonder one dummy calls me a compulsive liar when the truth is too scary for that twit to handle! Altogether now - aw diddums!
Good pubs show both - not just one and not the other; either way.

Yeah I was in Southbank in Melbourne a few weeks back for a conference and a sports bar had the Rl on as no afl . No one was watching to be fair but still - that’s a big step from when I was living there 12 years ago.
My brother also likes going to Storm games and feels RL is getting a bigger window in Melbourne
