Round 6 - Boxing Day

Image

Channel 10: A-League Men
Melbourne Victory v Western United 57,000

10 Bold: A-League Women
Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City 15,000

Channel 10 again beaten by SBS and every other network in prime time shares. More viewers in Melbourne for the Big Bash League Sydney derby than the Melbourne local A-League derby as well.

Sunday TV ratings Metro primetime shares primary/network

ABC 14.6% (20.2%)
Seven 26.5% (33.6%)
Nine 19.8% (28.0%)
10 3.4% (9.2%)
SBS 4.9% (8.9%)

Is Channel 10 promoting the soccer enough to build an audience? These dwindling numbers must be a real concern for network executives and advertisers surely.

Increased audience for the A-League last night beating the ATP Tennis, but not Ghostbusters or The Sound of Music movies.

Paramount must not be going well..

love how they have not showed numbers per game..

just number one..

could have something to do, there is not much on the Streaming Service.
and they have added all games to figure that have been viewed along with replays and highlights.
which makes it look bigger than it is

A-League on Saturday night was moved form Channel 10 to 10Bold to allow for the broadcast of Australia Unites.

People asked over at TV Tonight how the move went ratings wise.

Australia Unites on 10 was 117k.

A League is too low, I don’t have it…. below 33k.

That would be Channel 10’s best primary channel ratings on Saturday night in a long time since the A-League started I suspect.

wow interesting, would not surprise me if CH10 try to off load it to 10Bold.

channel 10 could literally show a new movie every saturday and get better ratings

If Paramount/Channel 10 were to win the AFL tv rights, would the A-League remain on the primary channel on 10? :hmm:

Not a chance.
And the worse A-league goes the more I think Paramount will go for AFL.
May not get it…but the price will go up..

channel 10 could offer 2.5billion and Fox and ch7 combined could offer 2.4Billion and not budge >>> AFL would no doubt except FOX & 7
