Yes true… whilst the Giants may not be gathering a lot of support … we have seen a rise in the amount of Aussie rules clubs in the area- thus increased playing numbers so that part of the KPis is being achieved. My concern is that increased playing numbers at junior level does not necessarily mean that sport becomes the persons number 1 sport when older (hello soccer, basketball). To be honest I think a stand alone Canberra team would be good but at some stage Sydney needs a third team … or needs to get to a level in Sydney city that they can sustain two teams. Brisbane could do with a team in the West too I think… similar to how dolphins will work I. Redlands area
