If the ball doesn’t go over the goal line in Australian rules there is no score either.

The goal line for rugby league is 68 metres, crossing that gives Rugby their highest score.

The Australian rules goal is 6.4 metres.

Rugby seems to need a lot of room to score.
And initially tries had no points value.
Field goals and goals from marks were the ways to score the highest points until changed and/or abolished.
Why the change?
Much easier having a “goal” of crossing a 68 metre line than actually scoring a real goal.
but its not a lot of room when theres 13 defenders in front of it lol :(/

Standard rugby league ground= 261sq m per player
Australian rules ground 460 sq m per player
Rugby league defends less ground and you have off side protection...
And your point was....

still the most moronic thread on this forum. If it was easy to play why doesnt everyone go into the draft and earn hundreds of thousands a year?

lol
i played both sports,

there both skilled sports in there own right.

def the most physical games on this planet.

my body would always feel alot better after an AFL game though,
due to alot less tackling and being tackled.

(by playing both sports it benefited me in alot of ways.)

i currently now play cricket, to many injuries in the footy codes

Yes I did and the try line, (rugby’s major scoring line) is 68 metres long, if you can broaden my argument, I can broaden yours.

you then proceeded to determine the amount of space between players for both codes ......
across the entire field dummy

Yes but only because you mentioned a number of players first....doesn’t your attention span last long enough for even your own statements?

I said , the line .. try line .. is defended by 13 players so not the lots of room you insinuated exists

your response to that ?

to show how much room exists ... on the entire field
got it dummy ?

I've given some thought as to joining my local AFL club . They tell me walking sticks are optional.
