It's ok beatup, Gilty will eventually get ya there pal. He hasn't got the ammunition Peter The Great had to bargain with Fox......RL......Fox's highest rating sport. A bit of grovelling and begging from the prancing poodle should do the job. Chin up pal!!!!!!!
If only Fox right were based on ratings. Its not.
Are you alluding to subscriptions pal?? If so what's ya point??

I shouldnt fucking have to allude to subscriptions. Foxtel is after all sub tv. And my point is, that ratings on Fox arent proof of subscriptions no matter how many times league folks like to pretend they are. Possibly indicative, definitely not definitive.
Sounds great!!!! But where exactly are these 'league folk' that 'pretend'. So..............ratings are indicative of subscriptions but not definitive????????? That's kinda tortured syntax 'ol matey!!!!!!!

Its not tortured at all. God forbid people should actually learn to speak english. Indicative is not definitive. Its not rocket science.
No it's not rocket science pal. That's my point. You're saying rating's may indicate the number of subscriptions but it is not definite that it does. So it's a yes and a no and a maybe all in one!! Yep. Tortured syntax. Semantics. Gobbledegook!!!!!

Oh fuck off you imbecile.

Ratings are indicative of viewers, they arent definitive in terms of subscriptions - which is what matters. Would you like me to draw you a fucking picture in crayon so you can understand it better.
Yeah......can you please do that pal! It might make some sense of your contradictory vernacular. My favourite colour is orange. And I like big bright suns in the corner of my drawings!!!! Cheers!!!!

nothing i said was contradictory. Ratings arent the be all and end all for subscription based tv, and if you dont understand that then you have no business even being in the discussion.
Hahahah!!!! I beg to differ. The discussion was not about what ratings mean to Fox. It is what subscriptions mean relative to ratings. You said they are indicative but not definitive.

Indicative meaning: A sign or indication of something. Definitive meaning: to provide a final solution or end to something.

So you are saying on one hand they mean something but at the end of the day they may not. I call that an each way bet. Or fence sitting. Or a contradiction.

Hope that helps pal!!!

I dont really care if you differ. You are wrong.

And your supplying of words I already know the meaning of didnt change that all.
Funnily enough Wookster I don't care either. Who woulda known lololololoololool!!!!!!!! And as I've said before......... you assume importance you don't actually possess. But good luck pal. I wish you the best. Self aggrandisement is your stitch. It ain't pretty.......but it's you!!!!!!

so if it is subscriptions and not ratings..
When it has been prooven NRL have more subs and get bigger ratings on FOX>

yet AFL paid more for the Fox rights last deal, even knowing NRL outrated the AFL every year since the deal..

(is it the fact FOX have paid overs)

I’m sure there are many things factored in. Like the afl support shows also rate well. It may be potential subscriptions with nrl subscriptions saturated and afl more of a target merger. With there being a decent presence of afl outside afl states (just look at teams) maybe there is much more potential. Particuarly if it’s hard to watch afl on mainstream. I never took up fix until I moved to qld due to poor coverage and because on Fta they will play lions or suns over say Collingwood.

Good points about the Fox Footy shows rating well during the week along with much more potential for growth in subscriptions.

Lol
What potential
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't most Swans ..gws ..lions..gcs games shown into their home markets already ..
So why would anyone sign up to fox when they can watch on FTA

So if you are a collingwood supporter like me and a suns or lions game is on at the same time as a collingwood one you don’t get the collingwood one. It’s a pain in the arse. So I got foxtel for this reason alone. With so many afl people in qld I am sure I’m not alone. I think having suns or lions aired live over other games actually negatively impacts ratings.

Also remember the afl I believe to get that deal for live games into qld and nsw take less money....
