Re: Gatorade Severs ties With The AFL.
A statement was made by a fumblefan .
And? The decision was still done by hq in the USA. A basic cost cutting exercise and Iβm sure it will apply to other spots as well around the world!..
So I ask where this has occurred .
& all I get is white noise .
For the ones who don't seem to understand .
This is a fight club .
Sport v sport .
Discussions are had in here about the problems etc of rival sports .
When statements are made by a poster it's not unreasonable to ask if there s something to back that up .
Especially when " he's sure" .
That's what I did .
Apparently that's not the go here .

Re: Gatorade Severs ties With The AFL.
have you got anything to state that the statement put out by gatorade was contrived or false? There is a statement saying why they withdrew from the deal. Why they have not done this with anyone else I have no idea - if that is indeed the case. Move on. It that comment is made and your "research" does not show this to be the case - then so be it. It was a statement of what was felty likely may happen or is happening - not unreasonable either given the statement put out by gatorade.
Yes, have a discussion or a debate - but also know when to move on. If someone doesn't comment back take it as a win and move on to the next debate. Going over and over wanting someone to comment on a topic that is dead or wanting them to concede is tiresome - take the non response as "you were right".... for the sake of the forum and the sake of your own well-being - and ours Imagine you're at a pub - and having this discussion - pick up the non-verbals and know when to let something go is all I am saying.

It actually surprises me their were interested in such a niche sport in the first place.
Nobody outside Australia watches or cares or even knows about AFL.

AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Pretty impressive.The_Wookie wrote: βSun Apr 05, 2020 4:04 pmWe're a domestic competition, we've never pretended otherwise. Its you lot that always drag the overseas shit into this. Re: Gatorade Severs ties With The AFL.
Maybe go and watch a game of union and compare the two games!
I mean the tries, goals, playing field, throwing ball side ways, running forward to an oncoming opposition, scrums would be a good starting point! Even from a non rugby fan can see all the same similarities and given league stemmed from Union!
I mean ffs crapbot how obvious do you want it do be

Re: Gatorade Severs ties With The AFL.
I agree with AFLcrap. Football genetically have evolved with soccer or a form of soccer appearing to be the root and arguments over rules pre codification appearing to be the βkickerβ ... with union and wanting to pick up the ball being the first. Then there was the split away from union with rugby league ... based on working people not being able to play during the week and making it less injury prone so they could continue to needing to work ... and getting paid to play. Then recently we have touch with the Federation of International Touch setting up and codifying their game at a. International level in the face of several fragmentations and variations ... something I think ironically similar to what possibly happened at the start of all this where there were many versions of a game and someone or a body moved to codify the game. So what is old is somewhat new again and history repeats. Interestingly, the term βfootballβ has been removed by the governing body of Touch to reflect that the bell is not kicked.
