Not good for the NRL but good for Rugby League.

I guess the same happened when GWS was set up. Didn't they get a lot of the best players from Southern State clubs?

They got first round draft picks I think and their salary cap allowed them to target good players.

will hurt the NRL short term, but long term will benefit the game

the NRL is being stretched at the moment with players playing in League & Union in different countries.

I see positives & negatives
Can't see it affecting the NRL too much .
The list of players they are chasing are those who are at the end of their playing careers .
It will affect English clubs more than ours
As most of these players would have probably went to eNgland to play for 1-2 years..
That's a negative for those clubs
On the positive side it gives young talent a chance to play top grade earlier if there's less nrl Old timers available ..

I really think this is the start of so much more for Rugby League in North America.

AFL still can’t even get a team outside Australia. And here we have a new team for New York & another new team in Ottawa Canada.

Ottawa with the guy who started the wolfpack behind them could be as good or better then Toronto.

agree, its amazing news and huge steps over the pass 5-6 years in International Rugby League.

Rugby League have made more progress with the new governing body over the past 5-6 years than they have 20 years before that.
