he Newcastle Knights Centre of Excellence is one step closer to reality with the City of Newcastle unanimously approving a development application for the Broadmeadow-based facility.


The Centre of Excellence at District Park is on land owned by Venues NSW on behalf of the NSW Government.

Sunshine Coast Council has approved a $68m expansion of the Sunshine Coast Stadium. Capacity will eventually be 23,400.

There has been little talk of a team on the sunshine coast, and surrounds.
but there has been more talk with other teams in front of the Sunshine coast bid.

(the only way i could see a team there > would be in partnership with Moreton Bay / Redcliffe
as it would control the district of Moreton Bay & Sunshine Coast.
Population 800k and growing fast.

Very true Frederico!!!! As I have previously annunciated - the A grade, top of the range, rolled gold best option would be to build over central station a 70k+ stadium and forget the SSF and Homebush. But that ain't gonna happen so they shoulda made Parra the No 1 Stadium in Sydney with a 70k+ joint in the geographical centre of the city.

But that didn't happen either. So then we go to option 3.....................keep the dump at Homebush. Use it for GF, SOO, Bledisloe, Socceroos etc. Even fumbling if they want it. Then spend the monies saved by not rectangularising Homebush by building 5 20k+ stadiums in the suburbs. That is the common sense answer so it sure as shit won't happen.

Option 4 is put me in charge. Gimme a couple a $bill and away we go lolololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bankwest stadium and aami park would have never happened without the wandereres and victory respectively will also be great to see campbelltown stadium get upgraded once the 12th a-league side south west sydney (actual name will be announced later in may) move in and the stadium actually gets a full time tenant unlike the tigers
