AFL vs NRL Competition - the 2018 finals series

well helllloooooo there mah members and guests. Yep it’s that time of year again and back by popular demand is your King’s assessment of the quality of competition in both codes’ finals series.
So without further ado let’s begin!
We are past the halfway point in both comps and there’s a stark, a very strong, a magnanimous difference in the quality of the contests in each code.
Firstly let’s take a look at the AFL
Six matches have been played and mah members...I can only be honest with yas. It’s been one of the most drab, dreary, dull, and deadset droopy finals series I’ve ever come across in professional sport. Sure, it’s not as lopsided as last years AFL finals series but seriously the 2017 AFL finals series was most likely the most lopsided finals series in world professional sport EVER
6 matches in 2018 AFL finals and the average points difference is 28 between the two teams playing. That my friends is an average of a 5 goal beat down in each and every AFL final so far!

it’s boring sleep inducing stuff With nigh on every game well over before the siren sounds. Anyone who’s played or knows anything about the game knows a five goal win is 95 times out of 100 a nice comfy win.
No wonder the tv boss who forked out a billion plus for the AFL is desperate to change the entire game

he knows he’s fukked up and purchased A lopsided lemon.
And the NRL?
Well the nrl has achieved what people expect of a pro sports comp finals series.

A bunch of spine tingling, gruelling, to the death winner takes all mentality type contests of the elite of the elite just going at it like alpha lions. It’s been incredible again, there’s simply nothing else we can say really. The nrl finals series of 2018 once again is shitting all over the 2018 AFL finals series.
By the way anyone know who the AFL have got for their gf pre game entertainment?

yeah the AFL tv boss is worried about AFL tv ratings that are 30% higher than the NRL ones during finals. Sure.
I think the TV boss is probably worried about the 15M less viewers who tuned into the AFL H & A season this year. And he specifically said he wanted the game to change so that more goals are scored.

Oh.....and here's me thinking this thread is actually about the standard of play and disparity of scores for the respective codes. You then bring up TV ratings. No problem. I join in by also commenting about TV ratings. Big problem. Silly me!!!!!
Can anyone see the other problem here????

fucking OP talks about TV. Given he was talking about finals it was relevant in that context.
No wonder the tv boss who forked out a billion plus for the AFL is desperate to change the entire game

he knows he’s fukked up and purchased A lopsided lemon
Oh dear!!!!!!

Lol
It was only mentioned in the context of what an abortion the game had become .
Hence wanting the rule changes .
It's apparent that the topic is about the on field standard .

You lads genuinely just think "all the fumblers left because they realised the truth." ?
I bet everyone just left because they saw there was no fucking point with some of you *******.
Ignore opposing facts, make it so toxic that it's just a few of you left sucking eachother off.
Was that the goal?
I thought this forum was a great concept. Obviously the smart RL members left before I arrived.

Your silly points differential isn't comparable.
An exciting team on the rise played high pressure, high quality contested footy. Beating the best team of the last 2 seasons at their own game and moving the ball quicker and cleaner than anyone has been able to achieve against Richmond lately.
Richmond came back 2 within 4 goals, as we knew they would, before being held off by the Pies.If you think that makes for a poor game of football you're wrong.
If you think 95k and the atmosphere it creates is irrelevant to the match - you're deluded.
