Have any of you guys seen the new Perth stadium? Is probably the best oval stadium I have seen.
So apparently a new stadium for AFL and cricket is fine in a much smaller city.
Yet building a stadium just as good for Soccer, Rugby Union, Rugby League and Gridiron exhibition matches is apparently a waste of money in Australias biggest most visited city. Sydney.
A stadium you say? Here I was thinking 3 brand new rectangular stadiums were planned for Sydney with costs approaching the $3 billion mark before construction has even started on the two big ones. Wake up, NSW taxpayers will not accept this.
Here's another beauty! Result: NSW taxpayers re-elect Gladys. NSW taxpayers give a mandate to Rugby League. Two stadiums built. One more on the way. And multiple Centres of Excellence built for the great game of Rugby League.
Lolololololololololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very poor article full of nonsense & inconsistencies
the new SFS was not built mainly for the NRL's benefit because if it was , the NSW Govt would have listened to the NRL & built a far smaller venue befitting the main tennents
the Roosters
Waratards
& Syd FC
none of the 3 above will fill it regularly under any circumstances
a 30K seat commbank for half the price is what the NRL wanted there at moore park
for half the price
with the money saved there ( 400 mill ) going to the west , where the NRL wanted stadiums & upgrades done.
But no
the SCG trust full of fumblers & toffball scum encouraged the govt to ignore the NRL & build a cathedral
so
lets not complain about the NRL not weeing its pants about that venue , the rest of the slimey antics of the parrotfart govt drew deserved scorn from the NRL
thats the story
anyone saying anything else is a knob
