Oh sweet jesus . You're dumb .
I have no problem with Perth getting a new stadium .
I highlighted the fact that new ultra modern stadia attract big events .
That's why Perth is mentioned .
.
You keep mentioning tax payer $$$
Yet ignore that across AUST AFL has gouged far more out of the tax payer than Rectangle grounds .
But this is about SYd
where you seem to think that ANZ is fine ....except for afl .
You have claimed it's perfectly good
But have no problem with $$$ spent on a rebuild for afl instead of using it .
Your hypocrisy is incredible .

You keep missingn the point but that far it isn’t funny!AFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 6:08 amOh sweet jesus . You're dumb .

And have NFI
The afl didn’t get the venues idiot
Both Adelaide and perth only have and had the one international venue!
Optus stadium replacing Subiaco that was built in 1908
Adelaide oval up grades was replacing the old football park from the early 70s
Each of those states have just the one venue
I repeat ONE international venue that we’re old and run down
Now Sydney has
Full rebuilds happening at
Parramatta and sfs and anz was only built in2000
Plus club grounds are getting up grades
You keep ignoring those grounds!
Also keep ignoring the point I’ve raised several times aye league, union, moron league and their 12k crowd averages is hardly justifiable to spend another billion for a stadiu that will only be 15% filled!
FFS league the so called large code in nsw struggle to sell out their gf! They had to give 20k tickets away to fill the venue! That’s after they couldn’t sell it out with those reject shop bargain bin ticket prices!
you simple have nfi or concept of reality & zero idea about money

Ikon Park set for $15m upgrade boost from Canberra
CARLTON'S Ikon Park upgrade is set to be supercharged thanks to $15 million about to be pledged by the Federal Government.
The announcement from Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is expected to coincide with Carlton's first AFLW home game for the season against Adelaide on Sunday.
The $15 million is on top of $20 million pledged by the Victorian Government in the lead up to last year's state election.
Those funds were contingent on the federal government also coming to the party.

And before the usual league looneys flip out about the money the Carlton fb did pump 30 odd million in to the venue in the early 2000s to built the legends stand that almost sent the club broke

Re: Exactly why are we spending $2 billion on new stadiums in Sydney?
Learn the difference between 20 million to 1 billion after around 1 billion will have already been spent on ground up grades for venues where codes that play their have piddly little crowds 99% of the year

Four codes will use the rectangular stadiums. While only 2 can use the oval stadiums.
Rectangular
Rugby League, Soccer, Rugby Union, Gridiron exhibition matches like College Football.
Who is going to use an Oval Stadium.
AFL and Cricket lol..
Origins have been held at Oval Stadiums - not least the MCG, and soon Optus Stadium, Soccer internationals have used the MCG, Adelaide Oval and Perth. Union tests have been played at the MCG and Subiaco Oval.
No they didnt. This was AFTER Spotless Stadium was enhanced, AFTER the SCG was expanded.Anyways the government has seen sense with this in NSW and basically told AFL fans to get fuct lol..
[quote[PARRAMATTA REBUILT
SYDNEY FOOTBALL STADIUM BEING REBUILT
AND HOMEBUSH WILL BE RECONFIGURED BECAUSE AFL AND CRICKET DON'T USE IT.
So you can whinge as much as you like lol.. But rectangular codes have won this battle.
Have you ever watched a real football code like Rugby Union/League or Soccer in an oval stadium wooks? The spectators are too far away from the game. Common sense mate.
No other country has to put up with their football codes being played on dumb round stadiums. So why should Australia?
U.S, UK, Canada, New Zealand. Nobody does it except here.
Is stupid and plain unprofessional.
The government has told AFL fans to get fuct. Is AFL fans who were trying to keep ANZ oval when they never use it.
Is also AFL fans who are against Allianz being knocked down and rebuilt because see it as a major threat to their code when Union, League and Soccer will have the best stadiums in Sydney.
Anyways everyone is realising for Sydney to attract all the truly international football codes.
World class RECTANGULAR STADIUMS are needed.

Re: Exactly why are we spending $2 billion on new stadiums in Sydney?
Diddums. The NRL has used the oval shaped SCG many times over the years and are considering it again for the finals series next season. If it's so shit why do the NRL do it?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 6:21 pmHave you ever watched a real football code like Rugby Union/League or Soccer in an oval stadium wooks?
