Yeah they have phsiques more like mma fighters, while AFL players look more like male netballers.

But I think you grossly underestimate the appeal of an AFL "male netballer" physique has to the fairer sex. And the not so fairer in some cases if ya catch me drift.
Going to games in Melbourne which by the way is so easy. One tram drops me at the door. I'm constantly amazed at the crowd demographic. It's got to be close to 50/50. No other league comes close. That's half the population.

The attached pic is from this year. And i know this because Richmond changed the shade of yellow they use and you can clearly see the difference in some of the merchandise worn in this pic.
This pic is relevant. See the difference?
