No I just want to compare home and away ratings in Australia. You can do all the other comparisons you like which is fine. I'm interested in which competition gets more viewers in the home and away. I'm also interested in which of the two comps finals series gets better ratings also. If you are interested in how the combined nrl and SoO rate compared to afl that is great and good on you and whatever other combination you like. Go for it.

By the way... the way you carry on is that the afl would win. I don't think this is necessarily the case particularly since afl have games showing at the same time or overlapping .. so I would think the nrl would possibly win... i am just interested in the comparison.

I just said that Fred and now your saying you don't want they either. So what do you want? Some sort of iron clad guarantee that the fumblers come out on top?

More matches less ratings - No wonder everyone who see's the AFL's product for the first time has this sort of reaction :(/ :(/ :(/    :(/ :(/ :(/
But but but
Similar times games shown in isolation afl flogs the nrlol nearly every time

This argument again lol

Games shown in isolation rate better
Head to head, similar times & AFL flogs the nrlol nearly every time
yeah good games rate better>>

what about the non rating teams..

Love to see a Suns v St Kilda Saturday in isolation
Usually better than the nrlols prime time specialist then the broncos

Good example look at the current finals series!

Oh Boy..

My original statement is AFL have more FTA games than NRL..

this off sets the difference easily.

as NRL has 5 exclusive games on FOX..

i bet itd still rate as good as the lower NRL games.

Also, its a silly comparison because the NRL doesnt have a suns, giants or lions equivalent. The closest they have is the storm, and theyre all conquering and on top again. Imagine the ratings for an NRL game if the NRL expanded to WA or SA and both teams were strugglers

not a chance. We have 1 more FTA game, which is often Saturday arvo, a low rating time slot. That no where near makes up for having 8 games shown concurrently

& once again you ignore your games targeted into home markets .
FFS try to be honest you don't mind screeching continuously about a negative about your broadcast schedule
But you can't seem to highlight the positive

LOL

Tossballers repeatedly point to low foxtel ratings while ignoring concurrent games! It happens every single week

the NRL pretty much target their home markets by showing the broncos on FTA every week. We have 3 main homelands, with 2 teams in each of those cities, you have 1 club in Brisbane.

Jesus you talk shit
It's NOT the NRL who select the games
CH 9 picks the game to show on FTA
& it's NOT every week

It's the NRL given they hand over control of the scheduling to Ch9. And no it's not every week, it's around 90%

The NRL can target almost their entire metro heartland in 1 game, the AFL with multiple clubs in multiple cities can only come close by targeted games into each city.

What about the dozen Thursday Couple of Sunday & Monday Nights. Thursday .

The NRL from Rd 10 to 20 have just 2 FTA matches a week more often than not. Face It Rugby League rates Better.

when? When exactly does it rate better?

Not last night. In fact, none of the finals so far this year. Barely any of the head to head games through this entire year, whether Thursday, Monday, Saturday, Friday, or what ever day. When the hell does the NRL outrate the AFL when they go head to head? :hmm:

what you have failed to realize is..

the NRL was half owned by News Limited>>

this changed in 2012 >>

and Broadcasting would therefore change in next deal>> beginning in 2018>>

NRL had 1 hand behind there back
