it wont change a thingleeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 9:38 amwhat you have failed to realize is..NlolRL wrote: ↑Sat Sep 23, 2017 8:30 amIt's the NRL given they hand over control of the scheduling to Ch9. And no it's not every week, it's around 90%
The NRL can target almost their entire metro heartland in 1 game, the AFL with multiple clubs in multiple cities can only come close by targeted games into each city.
the NRL was half owned by News Limited>>
this changed in 2012 >>
and Broadcasting would therefore change in next deal>> beginning in 2018>>
NRL had 1 hand behind there back
the NRLOL schedule is already the way it is to maximise TV ratings!
but but NRLOL will apparently take control and things will magically rate better
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Yep >> standard>>
I still cannot believe not one AFL fan can understand
the theory behind why the AFL
schedule 2 games at same time into each state>>
therefore increasing the figure in home state by double>
no no no
AFL House is dumb and want to lose tv viewers

its not like the NRLOL house who sell everything bar the kitchen sink for most amount of money possible to the networks & the networks schedule games to maximize their ratings! then have all you oxygen bottle fans inventing 101 but buts as to why the NRLOL still loose the ratings

Re: Nrl in crisis
I have always thought the afl schedule games into non.traditional states to have the local team on tv. For instance, suns are on 7 mate in qld but nowhere else ... this I thought was to promote the game in that state and that team. I think the afl would get higher ratings playing the match that is on on other states. I got fox for this very reason as often suns or lions playing when I wanted to watch the pies or a better game.

Re: Nrl in crisis
oh we understand perfectly well. However, the AFL cant target their entire metro homeland with a single game, the NRL can. Furthermore, it's not always an advantage. If Perth get freo v carlton (16th v 17th) all neutrals will want to see the other match, therefore reducing ratingsleeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 10:02 amYep >> standard>>

Re: Nrl in crisis
yeah but your not seeing the other side of the story!!!
for NRL
FANS OF THE GAME have 5 exclusive games per week on FOX
some cities in AUSTRALIA see 4 to 5 FTA games of AFL per week.

Re: Nrl in crisis
its not all about what the AFL fans don't get...
there is MORE FTA
each state gets Home teams playing
helps with figures improving
A FREO v Carlton 16v 17th will still rate 110k H / A figure
a top of table clash 1 v 3 will still not beat that figure..
as I have stated before
THE AFL AND THERE NETWORK PARTNERS HAVE GONE THROUGH
THE BEST POSSIBLE SCHEDULE POSSIBLE
AND THIS IS THERE ARRANGEMENT>>

Re: Nrl in crisis
There's dumb
Then there's AFL FAN dumb .
What are the STV numbers these days
It used to be about 30% of the population had it
So that means for the 4th AFL game per week they can have close to 100% of the population that can turn on their TV & watch
For the NRLs fourth game ..only 30% of the population can tune in ..

Re: Nrl in crisis
THE NFL is a Perfect Example>>>
they show a lot of games on Sundays>>
with each State getting the home game on different channels.
and than they have
THURSDAY NIGHT
SUNDAY NIGHT
MONDAY NIGHT
which are shown nation wide.
