The official crowd figure stood at 7136, but broadcasters Foxtel made the stadium look a hell of a lot fuller when the Rabbitohs met the Titans back in Round 15.

Foxtel has confessed that it used fake footage in an attempt to cover up the dismal crowd number for the Friday night fixture as a poor turnout rocked up to witness the bottom table teams go head-to-head.

“During the Rabbitohs v Titans Round 15 simulcast 8pm match, a producer aired archived vision after failing to time out the half-time break. It was an error in judgment which we have addressed. This is not a regular practice of Fox Sports,'' Foxtel told B&T Magazine.

The average Sydney NRL crowd for 2017 sits at just 13,000, despite having five teams from New South Wales in the top eight.

200,000 fewer fans have walked through the turnstiles this year with an overall two per cent decrease in crowd numbers across all states.

The finger is being pointed at the Thursday night and Friday 6pm time slot, ticket prices, poor refereeing and large stadiums with minimal atmosphere.

It's been well documented from. Any different sources and listed many different times about the crowd fudging.
I said fudging all around for the nrlol as the Foxtel are even now using kms footage to make it look like a larger crowd was at the game!

Well that pretty much ends this thread. Seems Josh Massoud and Ch 7 have been miss representing a number of issues around the NRL lately.

What astounds me is the amount of research and time some fumblers here must spend trawling through all media outlets looking for a morsel of negativity about the NRL. And then their frenzied posting here before checking facts and sources.

Seems like they need a life.
